About Me

I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, which is where I originally fell in love with teaching.  In eighth grade as part of the Honor Society, I volunteered my time as an aide at the local elementary school where I worked one-on-one with students who needed extra help and care.  These children had such an impact on me that I knew I wanted to pursue a career in education.  I have now graduated from Albright College and with a Bachelors of Arts in French and History as well as my Pennsylvania teacher certifications in Early Childhood (N-3) and Elementary (K-6) Education.

One of my favorite hobbies was and is playing soccer.  I started playing soccer when I was six years old.  As I got older, I played on club and cup teams as well as my school team.  Some of my fondest memories and closest friends have been from my time playing soccer.

During the summers, I have spent my time as an historical interpreter.  As a re-enactor, I inform people of all ages about the time period I recreate (which for me is the French and Indian War).  By re-enacting, I have grown very fond of history and I will definitely take time to focus on history because it influences all of our lives.
